The DevaCurl method changed how she approaches a curl cut — working dry, studying the natural fall, letting the hair show her the shape. Today Shakufeh works with all hair textures at The Hair Collective in Long Beach's Bixby Knolls neighborhood — but curls are where she lives. She is, above all else, a curl enthusiast.
